Peter was born in Singapore where he was raised in a Buddhist family. He became a Christian at the age of sixteen after reading Cliff Richard's (a popular British singer) book. His wife, Huey Lian, was also raised in a Buddhist family. Huey Lian became a Christian at Billy Graham's Crusade in Singapore when she was sixteen years old. They met at Church of our Savior in Singapore and were married in 1984. They have two daughters, Deborah and Charis. Deborah finished her masters at Harvard University and Charis is currently a student at Tufts University -- all glory to God! Peter served as a pastor for eight years in Church of our Savior Singapore before coming to Japan in 1994 to serve at Church of our Savior Fujisawa.
